This is going to be a short post but this is what I am working on today, lots of work to do and so I hope to finish most of these today so I can move on to the next batch. Two of the six in the picture are already finished and or close to it but the rest need a lot of work yet. Wish me luck! 🙂
Here is one of two of the portraits I’ve finished so far. I say so far because I enjoy doing these little portraits and I forsee doing more of them in the future, in face I have a commission for one of these right now. Just waiting to hear back fromthe commissioner on what he wants the feel of the image to be. These are just small watercolor and colored pencil pieces based off of the characters and Second Life avatars of the personal characters of my commissioners and friends. This one is one of my own characters who is a combination of things, mainly a cat, with a sergal tail, sika antlers, and mythic ram horns. She’s a lot of fun and is my main character/avatar for SL.
This is my wolf/rabbit hybrid critter fritz. He’s enjoying one of my favorite things in the world here, glowsticks. I love glowsticks, they are just too much fun. This is a watercolor piece where I had done some new techniques and the like and had a lot of fun. This is currently hanging alongside the charcoal of Lou ( see previous post) in the Graduating Seniors Illustration show in downtown rochester. Very exciting! 😀
This is a charcoal piece that I completed last fall as the final of four separate portraits and is the best of the four. I was rather pleased with how it turned out and I have found I enjoy charcoal a lot. I didn’t use to before, I didn’t like working in charcoal my first two years of college, but love it now. I still have a little bit of a ways to go but that’s ok, I’ll just keep working and improving, because an artist’s work is never done. My next charcoal project besides fixing the three others for this series, is a new portrait of Johanna from The Cruxshadows. If you don’t know who they are go check them out, they are an amazing darkwave band with an awesomely positive message.
Hi there, I’m going to give you a shot and see if you will do for my professional blog ( versus my precious tumblr which is more for all the fun and not just SOME of the fun) hahaha. So lets hold hands wordpress, and walk forward into something new that could possibly become a new friendship. 🙂 It’s a beautiful day here in Rochester at a lovely and unusual 70 degrees! Hope this finds everyone well, have a great day!
